Dan “The Man” chases his dreams of turning his bush league promotion of wannabe wrestlers into a roster of world renowned superstars.
“One Fall” is a full length character-driven documentary following Dan Closser: By day, a tow truck driver in Portland, Oregon, but by night, a struggling wrestling promoter on the brink of financial collapse. Dan “The Man” pulls out every move, while chasing his hopes and dreams of turning his bush league promotion of wannabe professional wrestlers into a roster of world renowned superstars. His journey is cut short at every turn: Family hardships, endless injuries, a wrestler suicide, leaving Dan “The Man” with only one way out: To lead 16 wrestlers in breaking the Guinness Book record for the longest, non-stop wrestling event. With the post-production schedule set to have this film completed by August 1st, I am humbly seeking your help. With my small production team, we have 30+ years of experience producing television, fine art, and film. Having reached the limits of our talents, we are seeking the funds needed to finish “One Fall”. These finishing funds will be used for sound design, sound mixing, color correction, rights and clearances, screenings, web design and entrance fees into every film festival know to man. The story line of Dan “The Man” could parallel that of anyone who has dared to dream about finding success down the road less traveled. I know that the recurring themes in “One Fall” definitely resonate within me, being that by day, I am a mailman, in Portland, Oregon, but by night, I am a filmmaker dreaming of creating a documentary that will reflect the true characters of the amazing people I have come to know and love through filming, and to make everyone involved proud to be part of this film.
