The Heartbreak & Heroines kickstarter and development has been postponed until 2012, but we thought you might want to know about our current RPG kickstarter project, Wandering Monsters High School.

In WMHS, you play fantasy monsters who are going to high school. It's a silly and fun game, and we need just a small amount of funding to finish up the revised version of the game. Check out the WMHS kickstarter for more details.

We are planning to relaunch Heartbreak & Heroines next year and we thank you for your continued interest in our RPG projects.

Due to situations of which some of you may be aware, I believe it is unfair to continue asking you to fund Heartbreak & Heroines. Therefore, I am closing the kickstarter project to funding and you will not be charged for the amount you pledged.

I thank you for your interest and I hope you will continue to support women-inclusive gaming projects in the future. I especially want to thank Joanne Renaud for her support and great work as the artist for H&H.

Hello on day two of our kickstarter!

If you haven't seen already, we reached our goal of $3,000 in pledges within 48 hours of going live.

This is humbling and awesome, and shows just how much demand there is for a product like Heartbreak & Heroines. We promise that you won't be disappointed.

In kickstarter, backing continues even after the original goal is met; this is a way that you can effectively pre-order the game. We're also planning out now what we can offer to everyone if backing reaches $4,000 or higher.

All of us working on H&H are really excited, and we are so grateful for the outpouring of interest and support that we have received from the gaming and feminist communities. Y'all are awesome Heroines to us!

Wow, we're kind of overwhelmed here at H&H Central. It's been about 24 hours since we launched the Heartbreak & Heroines kickstarter project, and we're at $1,256 out of $3,000. This is exciting and amazing. We're glad the idea has been so well-received by the community.

The kickstarter page has been updated with new FAQs and we've also added more details about the game mechanics to the front page. There have been discussions around the web about H&H, including one skeptical take at rpg.net and a Q&A thread there too (which kind of went off the rails at the end).

We're very grateful for your support and we're very enthusiastic about the future of this project and the H&H game. Thank you everyone!

PS: We added an option of $5-more-for-international-shipping to the backer rewards. If you're outside the U.S. and you've already pledged, don't worry -- you don't have to go back and add an extra five bucks. We'll make sure we get the game to you anyway.
