CRIME AND CONSEQUENCES - SEASON I
IN PRE PRODUCTION (And oh so close)

Hey everyone, this is Brian Gross.  Thanks for taking the time to check out our page.  For three years I’ve been working on the script for the web series / pilot Crime and Consequences with my writing partner Dick DeCoit.  It’s been a long, and often cold, (we wrote the first season entirely outdoors) process but we’ve had a blast. 

Dick and I became friends ten years ago when we were acting in Dick’s LA premier stage production of A Few Good Men.  One night before taking the stage he challenged me to a pull up competition.  I laughed and said sure… then he beat me.  For an old guy (don’t tell him I said that) he could sure do a lot of pull ups. 

Not long after, Dick hired me to write for an internet project he was producing.  After working closely together on the script I informed Dick that he was my new writing partner.  He responded with an enthusiastic “No way.”…  I finally convinced him of the potential we had as writing partners and we began work on Crime and Consequences.

Now, three years later, after our script has been well received by a variety of industry professionals and after receiving significant investor support, we have reunited our experienced production team led by Director Frank Bonner and Co-Producer / Editor Jason Allen.  We need your help to move to the next step and begin filming.  We believe this project has quality and deserves to be made… not to mention I am dying to be able to tell Dick, “I told you so.”

THE STORY
In serio-comedic fashion Crime and Consequences delves into the dynamic lives of an eclectic group of detectives working in the Hillside Division of Southern California.  These dedicated professionals utilize an edgy sense of humor to help them cope with the chaos thrust upon them by an environment filled with violent criminals and their victims.

Unresolved deaths of family members, sexual tensions, and struggling marriages weigh heavily upon their lives and the work they have sworn to do.

The Dramedy Crime and Consequences promises to rivet audiences as it provides humor laced, compelling stories based on the real life drama of cops who, one by one, are forced to deal with the grey area between right and wrong, work and family.
 
HOW TO HELP
Kickstarter is an online platform that allows artists to share their projects with friends, family, and philanthropic strangers in hope of garnering funding support.  We will be using your contribution to compliment the significant financing we have already received and reach the necessary budget to begin filming Season One. (10 episodes)

Kickstarter is all or nothing funding.  No money changes hands until the project’s goal is met.  It protects the supporters by making sure a project isn’t developed without the necessary funds.   Once we reach our goal, don’t hesitate to continue contributing.  This is the First of Three Seasons, so every little bit helps.
