I want to be able to dedicate my time to writing great music and getting better at playing my most valuable possesion, my guitar. My fingers were made to pluck them strings! I have always loved creating music, no matter the instrument, but in the past few years I have grown to love performing and singing as well.

Now that I'm living in Minneapolis, MN, I am more able to share what I have to offer with others. I have been gigging in the twin cities for almost a year now, but Minnesota is very different from Wisconsin when it comes to acoustic entertainment. It's much easier to get paying gigs in Wisconsin, I'm guessing because there is so much more live entertainment available in an urban area, but honestly, being surrounded by so much talent is worth the pay cut!

I have a wonderfully talented friend in the music biz, Mr. Brett Huus. He agreed to help me out by giving me an awesome deal on some studio time and by offering his helpful hand and experience to complete my first solo studio album. Mr. Huus is a Grammy Award winning musical engineer. This is a big deal.

My problem is that even though I have wonderful people on my side, I am lacking the resources needed to make this project a success. I can't expect musicians to flock into Wisconsin and beg to be on my album, and honestly, I'd prefer to pay them for their time and expertise when they are willing to help me out.

I would love to be able to get this project back up and running and pay for a drummer to come into the studio and lay down some drum tracks. I'd love to find a bass player and add some bass. I'd love to be able to pay for packaging and buy my final CD's! I'd also love to be able to pay my photographer what he deserves, even though he did all my album photography for free! I'd love to be able to pay my sound engineer for all the time he's put into this project for me.

The moral of this story is that there are a lot of expenses that my inexperience hid from me, and even though you can have the best people in the world on your side, you still got to have the moola to make things move. I would LOVE to get this project back up and running and I will do it, the question is when!?
