• Pretty girls get preferential treatment. They are treated better by other characters. They are treated better by their clothes. They are treated better by the rules.
• Disdain for slavish book-keeping. Book-keeping leads to math, math leads to tedium, and tedium isn't what games are for. 
• Disdain for verisimilitude. While the assumed setting is essentially a post-apocalyptic swords & sorcery environment, getting too serious about questions like “what kind of economic and industrial infrastructure is present to allow for the supply of lip-liner and daiquiris?” is a buzz-kill. 
• Dismissal of manliness. Men don't matter. The heroines aren't encouraged to solve problems by emulating manly characters from other games. We aren't taking Conan the Cimmerian and photoshopping a bikini onto him. Not to knock Red Sonja, but the model of empowering girls by having them act like boys is not the goal here.

What We're Making

Busty Barbarian Bimbos is a fantasy role-playing game meant to be played by three to five players in sessions lasting three or more hours at a time. It is suitable for recurring campaign play, with characters and stories persisting from one session to the next, or for more episode one-shot play. It is recommended for players that are mature enough to resist being mature about everything, and for players that are immature enough to giggle a bit when somebody trips and falls down. This is meant to be a mutually-enjoyable collaborative storytelling exercise that avoids delving into deep issues of the human condition. 

If successful, BBB will be published in PDF and paperback format, fully illustrated by a team of artists with a variety of styles and tastes. Character records, garment records, accessory records, and GM cheat sheets will be made available. 

The book itself will weigh in at roughly 200 pages, containing all the rules necessary to create characters, providing tools to facilitate the creation and adjudication of a broad variety of challenges for the heroines to overcome through charm, guile, and sometimes force. Tools to help overcome Game Master writer's block regarding both plot seeds and rewards are included, as is a bestiary of thematically-appropriate adversaries and three full adventures suitable for resolution in a single game session. The paperback will make a curious addition to a well-stocked gaming library. 

What We Need 

Money, obviously. Also world peace and spiritual fulfillment, but those lie beyond the scope of this campaign. 

How the Funds Will be Used 

Funds raised through this Kickstarter campaign will go primarily to the artists. To produce the wealth of cheesecake that will accompany the game rules, a number of talented individuals need to be compensated. We have already paid out-of-pocket for a number of initial pieces (including those featured in the presentation video) and want to retain these folks for their further efforts in establishing an reinforcing the themes and tone of the Busty Barbarian Bimbos world. 

If this campaign exactly reaches its funding goal, we will have adequate funding to print the books committed to through pledges, ship them, pay our artists for interior and cover art, and buy myself (the primary writer and developer) a six-pack of good beer. With your support we hope to exceed the goal, get even more art, and establish a modest set of stretch goals.

Stretch Goals

While I'm humbled, impressed, and not a little surprised that we've reached our minimum funding goal so quickly, I love the idea of building additional value into your pledges, so it's time to talk stretch goals. Regardless of specific target numbers, exceeding the $2,500 target creates a lot of wiggle room in the art budget, allowing us to commission additional pieces from our existing line-up of illustrators and even bring in additional artists. That said, a couple of goals to reach for:

Multiple Copies *UNLOCKED* - at $2,500 (full basic project funding), backers at the $15 Softcover Hardbodies tier may add additional copies to their order at $14 per.  Backers paying $45 or more may add additional copies at $10 per. This does not include international shipping, sorry; that stuff makes the US tax code look simple.

Mo Covers, Mo Problems *UNLOCKED* - at $3,500 instead of commissioning a single bodacious full-color cover for the book, we will commission four.  Backers at the $15 Softcover Hardbodies tier and above will get to select which version they will receive.  Backers receiving multiple copies may mix-and-match to taste.

Mystery Re-Skin *UNLOCKED* - at $5,000 we will take two of our alternate settings and flesh them out as separate PDFs made available to backers of all tiers.  An expanded re-skin will include new abilities, equipment, bestiary, and illustrations. The selection of these settings will be established through a poll of our backers just after the goal is unlocked. If you aren't in on it by then, you won't have a say; sorry.

This crossover adventure module is sure to detoxify, disorient, defoliate, and defenestrate your heroines as they cross paths with aggressively amiable automated aestheticians. A bonus PDF for all reward tiers.

TRIPLE-SECRET FINAL GOAL *UNLOCKED*- at 500 backers we will unlock our final modest stretch goal, an optional hardcover edition. Hardcover copies will be available for an additional $15 over the softcover price of the copy it is replacing in your reward. Optionally you can change your reward tier to Hardcover Hardbody at $30.
