Hello hello! 12 days remaining with this Kickstarter - I am so grateful for the support thus far, and am excited (and hopeful) as I move into the final stretch. The past two weeks have included a lot of swimming, both in the pool & a new favourite: the San Francisco Bay. Its cold, its choppy, you can't see the bottom but the views are incredible and well worth it. With that, the blog is up with a few posts! www.buildingtheocean.com/blog

Thank you so much to you all who have backed my project in this first week! Your confidence & excitement truly means a lot, and I am thrilled at how everything is coming together.

I spent some time this weekend looking at my route, and have included my first lake suggestion - Torch Lake, Michigan. Its claim to fame: being named the Third Most Beautiful Lake in the World by National Geographic! If you have any recommendations for bodies of water that I should see, please let me know & I will try my best to work it in.
