“Ace Americana band…smart, rootsy”  THE TENNESSEAN, Nashville, TN

Lasting a decade in the music business already sets BUCKTOWN KICKBACK apart from most independent bands. The nationally touring Alt-Bluegrass/Americana band out of Nashville, TN has successfully produced 3 highly acclaimed albums and promotional tours on a series of shoestring budgets. For independent artists, and the different directions their creative projects can take them in, simply enduring can be the largest challenge with "time" itself causing unforeseen obstacles.  But Bucktown Kickback's desire and ability to keep producing and performing their own music is a testament to the encouragement BTKB's ever-growing fan-base has given them throughout the years, truly making their longevity a worthy cause for celebration.  

To show appreciation for the amazing support they've received, Bucktown Kickback would like to offer family, friends and fans this unique, up close and personal, behind-the-scenes opportunity to be an even larger part of the production process for the band’s 10 Year Anniversary Album "TIN IN TENNESSEE" while, at the same time, earning exclusive access to special gifts and rewards commemorating the event.  Each ascending level of support and rewards is represented by the different types of materials traditionally used for gifts when celebrating specific anniversaries...with TIN commonly being used to signify 10 Years!

Studio time has already been reserved and tracking will begin the middle of March 2012, just outside Nashville in the quiet country hamlet of Fairview, TN.  The sessions will be taking place at The CHESTER HOUSE Recording Studio operated by the very talented engineer/producer Don Sullivan (expert nob turner and lever puller on BTKB's 2009 album FICTION PICKIN').  The band is excited to get the opportunity to work with Don again at this brand new state-of-the-art recording facility!

Those who are familiar with the music industry know that producing an album; recording, mixing, mastering, artwork, duplication, distribution, promotion, pre-production, post-production, etc. ends up costing most recording companies and record labels hundreds of thousands of dollars for each release.  Bucktown Kickback prides itself on achieving the highest level of professional quality AND artistic integrity while keeping costs to a minimum through foresight and creative ingenuity. 

Sustained not only by their supportive fans, Bucktown Kickback knows none of their goals could be achieved without their network of extremely talented industry professionals, friends and colleagues heroically driven to help realize these projects, basically in exchange for peanuts, free beer (occasionally) and good will.  But most importantly, we think these special folks are driven by their desire to be part of a unique, intelligent and delightful form of artistic and musical expression, one they can take pride in and FEEL GREAT about helping produce.  We hope you'll feel the same way!

Formed in 2002 among the rich Bluegrass landscape of the Ohio River Valley and within earshot of Appalachia, Bucktown Kickback quickly earned respect from live music fans hungry for honest, hard driving, hot picking, barn burning, foot stomping, original songs about life’s ups and downs and the relationships that come along for the ride. In 2005 Bucktown Kickback released their highly anticipated debut album SPEAKEASY which saw heavy rotation on AAA, Independent, College and Satellite Radio stations throughout the U.S. and abroad. Starting in 2006, Nashville, TN became the base of operations for the band’s last two releases and promotional tours (2007's LOST IN YOUR OWN HOMETOWN and 2009's FICTION PICKIN’) following the move of lead singer/songwriter/band leader Adam Brooks Dudding.

BUCKTOWN KICKBACK performs their original songs (and are known for enthusiastic, long, dynamic sets) at clubs, bars, halls, theaters, festivals, private events, parties, anywhere and everywhere people are sharing good times together (thus far to audiences in over 20 U.S. States)…Some of the notable, stellar venues they’ve previously performed at include The Knitting Factory (New York, NY), The Bluebird Cafe (Nashville, TN), Municipal Auditorium (Nashville, TN), Eddie’s Attic (Decatur, GA), Smith’s Old Bar (Atlanta, GA), Quixote’s True Blue (Denver, CO), Gunther Murphy’s (Chicago, IL), Newport Music Hall (Columbus, OH), Woodlands Tavern (Columbus, OH)… including larger gatherings and festivals like FLOYDFEST (Floyd, VA), BLACK SWAMP ARTS FESTIVAL (Bowling Green, OH), GAULEY RIVER FESTIVAL (Summersville, WV), BLUE RIDGE BBQ FESTIVAL (NC), BEER, BOURBON & BBQ FESTIVAL (Nashville, TN).

They’ve also been given fantastic opportunities to share even larger stages with amazing performers while being invited to open up for artists including Alabama, Junior Brown, Railroad Earth, The Deadstring Brothers, Sol Driven Train, Sons of Bill and many more.
