These paintings and the "We The People Show" are something I have been wanting to do for years. My whole career has led up to this.
"I am looking for a depth of passion you can't find in just a photograph, an intensity"...America has gone through many tough times to get here, but has always succeeded by the amazing resilience of its people. The show will be comprised of 30-40 (my goal) paintings done mostly in Conte Crayon and Varnished Watercolor. To date I have 17 pieces completed and am working on number 18 currently. This is a unique style I have perfected over the years and am very comfortable with. The mediums allow me to work at a pace that keeps up with my inspiration. The subjects are America in its growth and the people who have made it happen. This is not some stuffy group of paintings of dead historical people. My approach is always representative of the subject matter: traditional themes depicted in my distinctive style, others indicative of pop culture, some period pieces such as the 60s or 70s, and some current-ish urban themes.
This show will be presented at several sites of historic significance, debuting at The Grand Masonic Lodge of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia on November 29th, 2012 7:00PM with an invitation only presentation, and an open to public event the following evening November 30th 5:00pm. Please come and enjoy my paintings and purchase a part of history.
The Kickstarter campaign funds will be used for additional materials to finish the work, framing, printing, and the installation. Also to cover the costs of the video, and other team members' expenses.
One of the goals of the campaign is to have 3 red dots on these paintings (see below), at the premier / opening. Here in this campaign is an exclusive offering. Do you Own A Coyle? You can own one (or all three) of these, some of the first completed pieces.
Another goal of this campaign is to share my passion for my painting with you, and introduce you to my painting style and work.

About: I grew up working on my grandfather's a farm as a kid for years, doing everything from bailing hay to inoculating cattle. The piece is representative of the family farm and their struggles and the next generation taking over the responsibilities; the fact that these family farms are disappearing rapidly.
This body of work represents a non-partisan interpretation of our great nation’s transformation over the past 236 years of The People’s influence.

Additional people and subjects I will cover are music, farming, the workplace, unions, civil rights, everyday life and people, and our next generation.
Some of the pieces (below) I have offered for support of the show are part of the process of arriving at this body of work. Living in and around Chester County, Pennsylvania I have always been interested in people and locations that have historical significance.

FAQ
-
It is slightly uncharted water (pardon the pun), as this is my style and is a fairly unique technique. Avoiding exposing them to direct sunlight or moisture should ensure several lifetimes of history.
