Performing Songwriter says, “Picture this: Lou Reed and Astrud Gilberto have a baby…” Bronwen Exter recorded her first songs at age six - songs about cowgirls - sitting on a green shag carpet in front of a dusty tape recorder. Inspired by the thought “Peggy Lee stumbles into a garage," her 2006 dèbut album “Elevator Ride” was a collaboration with cult NYC rocker Jonathan Spottiswoode, Last year, Bronwen moved back to her hometown to play with a new band of old friends. They just laid down the basic tracks for "Junkyard," the follow up album she's been living and writing for six years.
