Broken Box Mime Theater (BKBX) is NYC’s hippest new performance group, telling original stories entirely through mime and set to contemporary music and lights. BKBX puts a unique twist on a seemingly dated art form, from slapstick to tear-jerk -- our shows of 10-12 pieces will make you believe anew in the power of simple storytelling. BKBX is a truly collaborative ensemble; our mimes write, direct and perform in our own creations. With Kickstarter's help, we will mount our first independent full-length show at Horse Trade’s Kraine Theater in the East Village, March 29–31, 2012. From renting the theater to providing adequate rehearsal space, your funds will help us to bring the art of silent storytelling to a new generation!
