A morally bankrupt TV producer discovers she's being evicted from existence in this family film to be shot in San Francisco this winter
The production team for EVICTED will consist of an award-winning producer, a rising female star, and a director with plans for three successful feature films following EVICTED. Lucky Dragon Productions will be co-producing EVICTED. The lead actress, Amy Gumenick, has been featured on Grey’s Anatomy (ABC), CSI:Miami (CBS), and Grimm (NBC) to name a few. Our producer, Vince Navarro, has won multiple awards at film festivals and participated in an elite writing program for ABC and NBC. The director, Brendan Raher has successfully managed commercials for multi-billion dollar companies and applies that business sense to creating the best possible product.
Matt Cohen has just joined the cast of Evicted and we are so excited to share this news to the world that we are doing four language updates in French, Russian, Spanish and proper English to announce this breaking news.
CAST & CREW
Amy Gumenick - Lead Actress
The versatile and talented Gumenick has most recently been featured on Grey’s Anatomy, CSI: Miami, Grimm, and The Closer.
She gave a breakthrough performance as the titular character in Justice for Natalee Holloway on Lifetime. She has a huge fan base from her multiple episodes on Supernatural and has traveled the world promoting her character at numerous conventions. View her work on television and film here.
Brendan Raher - Writer & Director
The writer-director of Evicted has written, directed, and produced several short films, music videos, and dozens of commercials.
His most recent directorial effort was the children’s cooking show, Play with Your Food, a pilot featuring puppets, food, and Sesame Street-style humor.
Brendan is also the founder of Raher Brothers Productions and has plans for the next three films to be produced under this banner. He has been the Creative Director for CompareNetworks, Inc. for the past year and has over seven years of extensive professional experience working under tight deadlines, dealing with large budgets, and bringing creative concepts to life. Brendan is a graduate of UCLA and attended The Academy of Art University of San Francisco for his Masters in Motion Pictures and Television.
Vince Navarro - Producer
Vince will be handling all the Bay Area details for Evicted. He received his BA in Film Studies from UC Berkley and his MFA from The Academy of Art University of San Francisco.
During his time in graduate school Vince wrote, produced, and directed a short-film, Gordo, which went on to win Best Short at multiple film festivals and airs on the Showtime Cable Network. You can watch the whole film below:
Vince has also produced and directed several music videos that have been featured on MTV. Vince has been a Senior Producer at CompareNetworks Inc. for the past six years during which he has produced several award winning ad-campaigns that have been written about in WiredMagazine, The New York Times, and several other major on-line outlets.
Casey Dacanay - Producer
Casey will be spearheading the producing efforts from Los Angeles. She is an accomplished artist who brings her solid classical theatre training and diverse dance background to this film. She stars in Winnemucca, the recent release Vanquisher, and has guest starred on international television and network prime time shows in the US. Casey has also been choreographing & producing for the stage since 1996 at various colleges and professional theatre companies. Since a huge element of EVICTED revolves around (spoiler alert) a dance performance, Casey's experience is invaluable.
Casey has worked with Brendan and Vince over the last 7 years bringing multiple productions to life.
Rowan Brooks - Producer & Lead Actor
Not only will Rowan bring his producing background to EVICTED, he will also play the male lead, Joshua. Since graduating from the Oxford School of Drama in 2001, Rowan has worked extensively as an actor in London, New York and San Francisco.
After acting in the title role of the acclaimed indie short film The Wish Thief, he refocused his role in storytelling to begin making films. Surrounded by an incredible group of like-minded artists, he created Lucky Dragon Productions in 2008 to explore meaningful, personal stories with the camera.
Donavan Sell - Director of Photography
After receiving his degree in Video Engineering, the world of film brought Donavan to California. He attended The Academy of Art University with Vince and Brendan and after film school, he worked on multiple commercial sets. Based on this experience, he was recruited to work on feature films in Korea. Working under cinematographer, Young Ho Kim, Donavan honed his skills and eventually became the DP on three feature films. He returned home and began to shoot both films and music videos here in the Bay Area.
Now, ten years later, Donavan's client list grows and grows. He has worked for international and local commercial productions like Xfinity, Charles Schwab, and Walgreens. Check out his latest commercial for the NFL:
Kristen Adams - Production Designer
Kelli Shane - Supporting Actress
After graduating from the University of Colorado, Boulder, Kelli returned home to start her career as a model and actress in San Francisco. After having much success commercially, she moved to Los Angeles for more opportunities.
Most recently she played the lead in an AFI film and two USC films. View her work here.
Nina Mullholland - Production Manager
Nina has a Scottish law degree and knew when she graduated that she wanted to do something organizational in a creative industry. She returned to her native Bay Area and joined Lucky Dragon Productions, where she is thrilled to be part of such an amazing team.
Having studied accounting and project management, she works on all aspects of the production process.
Nora Poggi - Marketing Manager
Nora Poggi is a French geek and entertainment junkie, enjoying her life in San Francisco to the fullest. After an experience in technology at social network Viadeo.com, where she started writing and interviewing about the tech world, she went back to her first love: films, thanks to Lucky Dragon Productions.
