WHAT IS THIS PROJECT?

We've finished writing brand-spankin' new songs for our next album, and we are super excited about it.  We think it's our strongest work yet.  All of our previous recordings were done on shoe-string budgets, and we had to cut corners because of it.  Not this time. We are raising money to do this right.

WHAT IS THE MONEY FOR?

Firstly, we are only asking for $1,800, to play it safe, because we really want to achieve our goal. That said, we hope to surpass it.  Realistically, this album will cost us about $3,000.  Here's why:

>Recording & Studio Time:  Recording at Type Foundry Studios costs $250/day, but it's worth it. We'll be there for 4 days.

>Mixing & Engineering:  We will be working with Robby Moncrieff, who co-produced the Dirty Projectors albums(!).  He's a fantastic audio engineer, and is cutting us a deal, but he'll still need $1,500 plus.

>Mastering:  This costs about $500 for a full record, and is essential for producing a good-sounding album.

YEAH, BUT WHAT DO I GET OUTA' IT?
