I am writing my first book. With Mercury and Venus conjunct my Sun - I was born to write at least one. Add my Scorpio Moon and Saturn in Fifth House Gemini, and you get a passionate and deep author on a difficult mission to accomplish a "great work." All that stormy energy is being channeled into the book so I can share what I have done to work with it.

My book will use examples from my own life as a way of illustrating how inner guidance through dreams, synchronicity and tools like Astrology and deep listening can be a navigating influence - a guide - through rough waters as well as dark or mysterious times. From arriving in NYC with fifty bucks and two suitcases, ending up in a Broadway show two weeks later, to knowing when to leave a decent job and a familiar place, also moving to California so I could create a new life - How would such upheaval have meaning? My story may surprise you as it goes deep into concepts of the sacred masculine and feminine as the forces shaping the mundane. I hope my story will inspire you to be bold, take risks and listen to the language of your inner self.

With the project minimum, I can get a good friend to help edit my book for an honorarium. I'll also hire someone to create a nice cover for the book. Then there are a few fees related to getting an ISBN number, copyright and barcode. A limited run of 500 copies will cost about $3,500 at minimum using a local digital printing company. Then there's another $1,500 related to California sales taxes and shipping costs. 

That's the minimum. $10,000 to self-publish 500 copies and bring this work to fruition. It might not mean fame or fortune but it creates a necessary tool for teaching and living by example. The self-published author has a great deal of control over his work while the business model is more realistic as income for a new author. Some of you will also get to experience my gifts as an astrologer. And I will feel such overwhelming gratitude to you, for your support.

If this campaign reaches $16,500 I will hire a professional editor and print 750 copies.

If the project reaches $27,500 In addition to hiring an editor I can work with a printing house in the U.S. to create a quality (FSC certified recycled paper) final product and further increase the print run.

Any funding above $27,500 will go towards promotional material, advertising and book tour expenses. I could do a book reading/signing in your town! Now you know what I will do if you generously pre-order the book and share your amazing support with friends and loved ones! 

It takes at least six months prior to publication to get the book into the right places for trade journals, library listings, etc... as well as to get some notable persons to read and make recommendations I can include on the books cover. So that tells you why the book will be published in February of 2013. Six months from August when it will be in its final stages.
