No Pain, No Gain: 75K Chest Wax Challenge + Siri Demo
Good Morning Kickstarter,
We hope you had a very MERRY Christmas. We know what you want. You want to see Siri in action with the Boombot REX. Well that is exactly what we are going to give you. We want to show you that you can use the Boombot REX to help with very practical tasks; like finding a place to wax your chest.
Moose has always been a team player and he was pressed into service when we hit the $75k milestone. To thank our Kickstarter fans, we made him take the Chest Wax Challenge. Watch him get destroyed:
So there you have it. With the simple push of a button, the Boombot REX signals to the phone to ping Siri. Siri speaks back over to the Boombot REX and gets you all the information you need. To our delight, we also got the speaker to que voice control on older iPhones and on all Android phones. That’s right lil’ Android, you are cool with the Boombot REX too.

Our project has now reached triple the funding goal on Kickstarter! Better yet, our first stretch goal at $100k is inching closer by the day. We want to get you guys complimentary wall chargers with each Boombot REX, so tell your friends about the Kickstarter project. Let them know that we aren’t messing around. We are ripping hairs off chests for crying out loud!
And for those of you who are curious, our Kickstarter Challenge Series continues at 100k. We don’t want to let the cat entirely out of the bag, but big dog Lief may or may not doff (yes that’s a word) his clothes and go for a run. Product Update
The most current prototypes we have featured some really great improvements to the build, fit and finish. The part lines were incredibly precise. The grill fitting was lazer sharp. It takes some pretty hefty torque to get the grill off, but we will just call it German fit and be happy with it. This last round wrapped up every mechanical piece to the project and we're now building out the shells at the factory. We are now focusing our efforts on fine tuning the Boombot REX internal PCB design. Our power management has made some great improvements in runtime. Now we just have to find out how hard we can drive the Boombot REX while maintaining great sound and longevity.
