Hello!  My name is Bobby “BlackHat” Walters and I play blues. I’ve always loved music, especially blues, but I never imagined that I would be a blues recording artist, write songs, front a band, or release a CD with my name on the cover. Well, after two CD’s, a DVD, TV appearances, radio airplay in over 20 countries, and two trips to the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, it would appear that a higher power has other plans in mind for me. Now I'm embarking on my third CD project in collaboration with phenomenal guitarist Larry Berwald and some of Hampton Roads finest blues musicians.  Over the past year we've been wrting, creating, developing, tweaking, and massaging new material in preparation for this project. Now we are ready to bring fresh and original blues music to the global blues loving community.

WHY KICKSTARTER? As you might imagine, funding a music project is not an easy task during these challenging economic times. Not only does it cost to record a CD, it also has to be mixed, mastered, printed, packaged, and distributed. Recently my cousin and another good friend recommended that I consider Kickstarter as an option for raising the funds for this project. After learning more about Kickstarter I thought it was an excellent idea. This Kickstarter opportunity will not only help us make this project a reality, it's also an opportunity for everyone who donates to help Keep the Blues Alive.

Bottom line...we need your financial support.

HOW DOES IT WORK?  We have set a minimum goal to raise $5,500 by the deadline on this page. If we fail to reach this goal by the deadline, none of your pledges will be honored, your credit card WILL NOT be charged, and you will not receive any of the exclusive rewards. IT’S ALL OR NONE. That being said, $5500 is our minimum target amount, however there is no limit to how much we can raise with your generous support. The more we raise the higher quality product we can produce. Any and all donations are welcome and greatly appreciated.
