Blue Chair Fruit is a busy team of four people making and selling awesome jam -- and Rachel, the owner, and Jo, our sous-chef, make EVERY jar of our jam entirely by hand. While the high quality of our jams is a direct result of preparing the fruit and cooking our jams by hand, 60% of our jam cooking time goes to simply filling up each and every jar. That means that Rachel and Jo spend long nights in our kitchen, but much of that time is spent doing a task that a machine can do. 

We need a jar-filling machine, and we need your help to purchase one.

Filling individual jars can easily be done by a custom-built machine; filling these jars by machine will save us kitchen time and will reduce spillage, saving us from wiping each finished jar by hand to ensure that our labels stick, a process that takes countless hours every week for Kate and Erin in the office.

With a machine to literally take this task off our hands for the 75,000 jars we hope to produce this year, our kitchen staff can focus on making your favorite flavors in larger quantities.

We simply can't make enough of our delicious jams without this machine! We've already spoken with an engineer who can design a machine for us that will expedite our jar-filling process. And we've even decided on a name for our new helper: Buster, because he's going to be so instrumental in helping us bust out the jams!

All funds donated to our Kickstarter will go directly to purchasing this machine.   We are immensely grateful for your support -- and can't wait to thank you in person at Buster's reception party!
