Slightly more physically demanding than the average mobile game, blow boat racing will require the player to actually blow into the microphone to provide the ‘wind’ to accelerate their boat towards the finish line.

Racing against friends or the computer, you will be able to test who has the best lung power, and who will reign supreme in the unique gaming experience of Blow Boat Racing.

We like to think that the game connects real-life with the mobile gaming experience, requiring the physical action of blowing into your phone to have an impact on the gameplay - which makes it unique to traditionally-controlled mobile games. Introducing the social element of racing against friends will make this a competitive, engaging game. 

Development Stages

Depending on the level of funding we receive on Kickstarter, will determine how advanced the gameplay becomes.

We have developed several ‘stages’ where we can take gameplay to the next level, according to the funding we attain.

- Standard game £12,000

The standard game will cover various boat and sail options/upgrades, at least 40 different terrains/courses, social play, and leaderboards .

- Bonus levels and features £ 18,000

This will cover the development of further bonus levels and features. We can free the game from straight-line racing, and introduce more adventurous levels where tilt-steering is introduced and certain objectives can be achieved.

We will also introduce features such as sharks, rocks, and other hazards that you will need to manoeuvre around whilst racing others, and bonus levels such as rough seas and tidal waves where capsizing and sinking will present risks in the race.

- Weapons £24,000

This level of funding will allow us to build the most awesome gameplay for our blow boat racing game - introducing a vast selection of weapons that can be used against opponents to sink and damage their ability to compete against you.

Holes will be blown into sails with cannons, boats will be filled with water and sunk with water jets, and leakages will be dealt to opponents by peppering their boats with blasts from a whole arsenal of weaponry.

This level of funding will allow us to develop a feature-rich, engaging, swashbuckling game that will have you wanting to play all day long.

Our Team

Our team consists of a small group of game developers and designers, brought together and coordinated by two entrepreneurs - Gavin and Liam.

Both Gavin and Liam have experience of managing successful projects similar to this, and the team have all worked in the mobile gaming and app development business for many years.

This experience and combination of the required talents and management give the game the biggest chance of successful completion and introduction to the mobile gaming charts. Our blow boat racing game will mark the beginning of a new mobile games business - with other ideas and unique game concepts in the pipeline - and this is your opportunity to get involved with this exciting project at the very beginning.

Costs

The entire team will work remotely on this project - keeping overheads down to an absolute minimum, and focussing all of our funding on the development of the game itself - not on maintaining swanky offices.

Therefore, all of our costs are development or design related, allowing us to pay our team for their time and efforts on the project, and getting the game to the point of being ready to launch.
