An upgrade to our offices.
One thing that has become painfully apparent in our transition from R&D to production is that Blocklets needs more room. We are very happy to be co-located with TechShop RDU, but we were seriously lacking on square footage. Any production and packaging activities spilled out into the common areas. This was a problem and we were looking for a solution. Last week, we found a solution. Sometimes opportunity knocks, the stars align and you have to act fast.
We found a suite of 3 offices with a large production room literally three doors away from Techshop. We'll have all of the benefits of proximity to Techshop, but we'll have space to ourselves. The lease begins on January 1, but we have access to the space for the next few days to move.
So what does this mean? We'll have a few days of downtime as we move, rewire, and recalibrate our production facility. In the end, we'll likely finish our orders quicker because we'll be set up more efficiently. Apologies for the unflattering photo...trust us, it will be a great space for us.
We'll do our best to document the move and set up process over the next few days.
