Making records is fun, but it sure is expensive. This project will hopefully make it possible.
sky flying by is an instrumental solo project from Boston Massachusetts. The latest album, "What's The Farthest You Can See?" is being wrapped up in the studio and is preparing for mastering and then release. As part of this effort of releasing this album the goal with this project is raise the funds to press the record on vinyl.
Record manufacturing is not an inexpensive proposition and with this being a 100% DIY (Do It Yourself) endeavor, having the assistance of thoughtful backers is absolutely critical. The money raised, should this project be successful will go 100% to funding the production of the vinyl and associated packaging.
The digital version is slated to be released prior to the December holidays, with the production of the vinyl being approximately six weeks after that.
UPDATE: to make things interesting, there are three milestones set that when met the backers will receive a special un-released song, just for them. The milestones are: $500, $1500 and $2500. Each backer will be contacted with a download code. Three milestones, three unreleased songs. And, they will be made available shortly after the milestone is met, so yes, this is a challenge.

A firm release date has not yet been set. we are just finishing up the mix in the studio and will be mastering last week of November. The digital version via Bandcamp will be released sometime in December of 2011. With iTunes, Amazon, and eMusic to follow. The limited CD and standard CD will follow shortly (the limited CD releasing first.) The vinyl version, if this project is successful, will come along in February of 2012.
