So we're happy to announce that we've finished shipping all of our Kickstarter rewards! It took a while to sort, unwrap, re-wrap, tidy-up, box-up, sticker, address, and kiss farewell all of our beloved Blimpuses to all of our beloved backers. But they are all en-route. It's been a long process not without its hurdles. For that, we thank you all for your patience and support. We're extremely happy with the end result and have a heap of great learning from the experience to help make the future of Blimpus evolve. It's all thanks to your backing.

The shipping process, like most of the rest of the process has been a bit chaotic but everything seems to be going well. That being said, if you haven't received yours in about a week's time, please let us know and we'll sort out any mishaps. Once you receive your Blimpus and have time to give them some love, take some photos and send them to us. We'd love to see them on their world travels!

We plan to have www.blimpus.com up and running soon as a small webstore, photo gallery, and blog about Blimpus happenings. In the meantime if you or someone you know would like to purchase a character edition, or a blank DIY, Please let us know and we can make it happen for the Kickstarter price while this run lasts. 

An extra special thank you to all our custom-level Blimpus backers. We're shipping out your personal fabric Blimpus today in a convenient carrying case for simplified Blimpus transportation. For everyone else, we just got word that the primary Kickstarter herd has landed stateside and will be arriving in Chicago in the next week or so to be packaged + shipped out!

We finally got our first Blimpuses and they look HOT. There's no other way to say it. We received one of each design and we're super proud to show them off to you today. We took them out on the town yesterday for an impromptu photo shoot and they were perfect little models. Needless to say we are extremely excited and after all the rigmarole, really impressed with the production quality and print execution. 

Blimpus Production Update!

Greetings to all of our beloved Blimpus supporters. It's been a while since our last update. Up to that point, our experience with our production partner was pretty shaky. We had posted that printing digitally was not an option anymore (or in fact, ever, beyond one vendors' imagination) and that we would have to go back to our original plan of screen printing; which we feel will end up being a much higher quality product. It's also a hand-done process so it fits the bill since it's our intention for these to be art objects. Since things were moving slowly with this first manufacturer and we had reasons to be suspicious of their abilities, we elected to source another production house in case things fell through. Well- they did -- the printed samples we received were not acceptable and we cut ties with "vendor 1".  That being said, the new team we have been working with is fantastic and actually sent us primo physical prototypes and printing samples before the first manufacturer got theirs done. We've had great progress over the past month and are cranking forward; we FINALLY signed off on the main production run which means, after three months, we actually spent some of your money. What to Expect:

So now that you know where things stand, we want to update everyone on our timeline. We hope that you all understand that we used the platform of Kickstarter to help us create a product from the ground up. Its been a bumpier road than we expected but we think things are pretty ironed out (albeit delayed). Our final blank Blimpus bodies are currently being created and the printed characters will come directly after. Since our last update, we know that this process will take longer than expected. That being said, we can only assume that it will be something around another 8-10 weeks until we get these in our hands in order to ship. Our only desire is to provide the top quality product that's as close as possible to our original intent; we ask for your patience as we finally get some steam behind the manufacturing phase.

We're super excited about the refinements on Blimpus and can't wait to get them into Chicago and start shipping. Stay tuned for some more frequent updates --- we have some other Blimpus projects going on that we're excited to let you guys know about now that the basics are finally moving forward.
