Update #15: The final update!
Howdy, all. I just wanted to post one more update to our Kickstarter project - to remind you that our pilot episode AIRS tonight at midnight on WCIU, The U.
Here's a tune-in guide:
Antenna - 26.1
Comcast (HD) - 183
RCN - 6 / 606
WOW - 6 / 207
DISH - 26
DIRECTV - 26
U-VERSE - 10 / 1010
If you're interested in following the progress of the show AFTER it airs, please follow us on our Facebook page, and visit us at DontSpitTheWater.com.
We had a great article and full page spread in the Chicago Sun-Times. Click here to check it out!
We hope you'll join us at the Lincoln Tap Room (3010 N. Lincoln) in Chicago tonight. We're gathering at 10pm. At midnight, they'll put all of the TVs on WCIU, and we'll watch the show as it airs live.
Thanks again, everyone, for supporting this project. Here's hoping it's the beginning of something exciting!
Update #14: We have an air date!
First off, my apologies to those of you who are receiving this information for the 4th or 5th time. With Facebook and Twitter, we're guilty of all sorts of information overload here. I blame teenagers.
I'm so happy and proud to announce that our touchdown is nigh. We have an air date for our crazy live game show.
Don't Spit the Water!'s pilot episode will debut on Saturday, September 3rd, at Midnight, on WCIU, The U.
That's technically Sunday, September 4th... but in TV land, tomorrow doesn't start until 5am. So we say Saturday, September 3rd.
We are super excited to be airing on The U's primary channel, and grateful to everyone at the station who gave us the green light.
You can watch The U on channel 26. If you have Comcast, watch the show in HD on channel 183. If you have RCN, we're channel 6/606(HD). WOW cable, 6/207(HD). If you have DISH or DIRECTV, we're on channel 26. And if you've got U-Verse, find us on 10/1010(HD).
We'll be sending out one more update just before we air. Thanks again for being a part of this project. I'm excited that we're so close to seeing it all the way through, and I hope that you are, too!
Best,
Steve
Update #13: A preview of our pilot episode...
Update #12: DSTW Pilot Update!
Hey, supporters!
On June 14th, as planned, we shot our pilot episode. It was a long, long, long day, and ended in a fantastically fulfilling shoot. The gang at Stock Yard Films did an amazing job at bringing it all together, and we're delighted with what we've seen so far.
What next?
Stock Yard Films is working on completing the edit, the sound mixing, and all that technical stuff. We're pretty close to a finished product, and the peeks I've had at the footage make me giddy with anticipation. Once we're happy with the final product, we'll drop it on the desk of the folks at WCIU, and wait for an official air date. When we have that, you can rest assured that you'll hear from me again.
I wanted to share a few photos from our shoot, and take one more opportunity to thank you all for supporting our project.
Have a great holiday weekend...
Steve
Update #11: Updates and photos!
Howdy, backers!
We're 9 days away from our pilot taping! If you have not yet reserved your seats for the taping, please email erica@blewt.com as soon as possible. We are filled up at this point, but we'll try to squeeze in a few more backers - otherwise we can put you on our waiting list for seats.
On Friday we had a PR photo shoot with Johnny Knight, our favorite photographer. A couple of the shots are attached here!
I'm also attaching a photo of our awesome new sign. It was built by these guys. I don't think this snapshot does it justice - it's huge! It looks awesome in person, and is going to look super fine in HD.
If you can't tell, we're getting incredibly excited about our June 14th taping. We'll keep you posted about air dates and whatnot.
Thanks again for your support!
Steve
