About this project
Black Sheep Production's long term goal as a company is to run our own music festival. We wish to begin this process next summer by organizing a 2 day festival in Brooklyn with a lineup of 40 plus bands. We will feature local and national acts that have acquired a solid and enthusiastic fan base, but have not reached mainstream popularity. All bands that will be performing are very well known in the underground scene and extremely respected and recognized amongst their fans. The Black Sheep festival will be the only of its kind that puts its emphasis mainly on New York City talent, allowing others to experience the thriving music scene that has been emerging here for decades. For the festival, we'll need funds for everything from the bands,stages and promo for the tour (posters, stickers, t shirts, etc) to catering and portable bathrooms. Doing what we do, and being as immersed in the local music scene as we are, we know that there is a great need for local talent to be provided with a platform to showcase their skills. We have helped many underground bands in our city do this, and wish to provide this service to bands throughout the country. Our music festival will be our start.

Black Sheep Productions is a booking/promotion/production company based in NYC that books upcoming local artists at various venues. We've been in operation since our Sophomore year of high school (2007) and have been going strong ever since. Our goal is to get the underground into the foreground - to show kids that there is more to music than what is being fed to them via radio and media. Local bands pour their hearts out at shows, whether the place is packed or desolate - we figure the least we can do is give them a stage. At the end of the day, we're just two kids ourselves that are looking for a good show, so we decided to start putting on on our own.
