To our loyal Kickstarter supporters,
We hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving! With November officially wrapped, Christmas and holiday shopping is on everybody’s mind now more than ever. We’re here to help. :)
This holiday season, the Birth Story team would like to thank our earliest supporters, our amazing Kickstarter community, with an exclusive discount of 25% off your Birth Story purchases. Enter code "kickstarterlove" at the www.birthstorymovie.com checkout. But that’s not all! We have some exciting updates to share with all of you:
*Our team finally has finished the Birth Story Discussion Guide, written by excellent childbirth educator, doula, and author Ceridwen Morris and filmmaker Sara Lamm. Morris, a prominent voice and writer praised by The New York Times, has been teaching about childbirth and baby care since 2009, writing for the Huffington Post, Elle, Parenting, and Fit Pregnancy magazines, as well as being the coauthor of From The Hips: A Comprehensive, Open-Minded, Uncensored, Totally Honest Guide to Pregnancy, Birth, and Becoming a Parent (2007).
*The Discussion Guide includes an instructor section with questions and a participant writing exercise, as well as an additional reading packet that can be available to all student enrolled in the class. The film is already being used in classrooms, libraries, and screenings at universities across the nation and beyond--we are so proud that Yale, Harvard, Brown, UCLA, Tulane University, and the University of the West of England all include the film in their collections! For details and more information, please visit birthstoryclassroom.com.
*Birth Story subtitles are now available in Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, and Russian. All translations are available for download on our website (birthstorymovie.com). If there’s a specific language that you can assist with, we’re welcoming volunteers to join our team and translate for us. Please contact Sara at firstname.lastname@example.org if you’re interested! Merci!
We wish you and your loved ones a wonderful holiday season this year and every year to come. As always, we are so grateful for you, our earliest supporters, for helping make this film a reality. Independent films like ours would not be possible without you.
