Creator Birth Story on May 8
Want to let people know that we are so sorry for the delays with the DVDs--they were sent to us late by the manufacturer (because of a snafu on their factory line) and we did the best we could to get them out to you as quickly as possible. We are a small group of mothers, balancing a lot of demands on a tiny budget (including the demands of our families) and we have worked very hard to make this film. We are so deeply grateful to you for your support and sorry for the frustration.
Creator Honey Straws on May 8
Also disappointed. People have purchased and received their copies before I got mine through kickstarter. So much for being the first to get a copy. You should have fulfilled pledgers copies when you did screenings. Really bad show all around.
Creator Alina Collard on April 30
A little disappointed.... Waited ages for it to come available, hoping to be one of the first to see this movie, yet it's available for download and friends have seen it already...... While I'm still waiting for my DVD.....
Creator Alina Collard on March 4
Any ideas when we are getting the DVD?? I've been hearing that a showing of the movie is happening in my area this coming Friday but I haven't heard anything about my copy yet...
Creator Alina Collard on October 22, 2012

Ian May and the farm is the reason I'm the midwife I am today. Good luck with the film, I hope to see it everywhere, with love from London x
Creator Linda Rawlings on July 17, 2012

This is so awesome!!! I was born on the Canada farm in 76 and my brother and two sisters were all born on the Tennessee farm. So looking forward to this.
Creator Paul Mandelstein on June 24, 2012
Ina May delivered my three children at home. She's the best.
Creator Annamay Snyder on June 13, 2012
Thank you for this project! I was born on the Farm in 1972 and I'm very excited to see images of my birth place.
Creator Esme on June 12, 2012
I am contributing because Ina May's book gave me the tools to have extraordinary births with babies #2 and #3 and I will be forever greatful. My natural births were the best moments in my entire life. I wish you the best, here from London.
Creator Michele DeRose on June 11, 2012
Thank you for this project, thanks to Ina May and her book Spiritual Midwifery, I and others in my community in Flagstaff AZ created a birth center and both of my girls were born at home, they are now 30 and 33. I attended many births over the years both in hospital and home, nothing like a home birth!
Creator Christopher Brown on June 10, 2012
Hurray!, thank you, thank you, thank you for making the documentary we've all wanted for many years! We've backed you guys & come december will have the rights to show it in educational settings & change lives!
Again, thank you!!!!
Creator cassie haw on June 9, 2012
so excited about this project! spiritual midwifery really eased many of my fears about childbirth with my son (now 2 years). doctors, the media, the internet and many random people (what is with that!?) told me so many scary things when i was pregnant that the stories of the farm were such a relieving presence to me. can't wait to see the movie!
Creator Seanda Bradshaw on June 5, 2012
I am expecting my 6th baby in December. I had my last one at home and will have this one at home, God willing. I live in NC and right now our Midwives are at the center of a debate. Our CPMs are pushing for licensing and our CNMs are trying to get an OB to sign for them so they may practice homebirthing again. Our birthing rights have been taken from us and we are outraged! Ina May is my hero and I am far beyond excited that this film is finally being brought to light. It is overdue that America and the world see how normal and beautiful birth is and can be.
Creator Eva Rojas on June 4, 2012
I am very excited to see this film. I hope it can help alter the minds of birthing mother's everywhere. It shouldn't be feared as a horror experience as the general media loves to portray. I have had two natural, unmedicated births. My first was in a hospital and I had watched all of the wrong documentaries and read all the wrong information. It was all fear driven. It was a painful experience and I wasn't sure if I ever wanted to go through it again. I knew there had to be a better way. I then researched everything and anything Ina May, watched Business of Being Born and More Business of Being Born, Pregnant in America and read the amazing book "Pushed" by Jennifer Block. I was very prepared to have a painfree homebirth. And that is exactly what I did! It was the most amazing experience of my life. It is so important to expose yourself to the right information. I hope this film reaches people in that way. Best of luck film crew!
Creator Megan on June 4, 2012
my first baby is due in july and i already know that ina may has made all the difference. i switched to home birth midwives at 32 weeks and am so full of peace and calm and knowing that i can do this, because of ina may's guide to childbirth, which i was first inspired to read by watching the business of being born. it changed my life and i hope this documentary will do the same for others.
Creator Palma Repole on June 4, 2012
So excited to see this. I just taught an independent study with 3 amazing HS seniors exploring birth practices. This movie is essential for the education of all young women! I admire and appreciate Ina May for all her work. And thanks to the filmakers too!
Creator The Barrel Jumpers on June 3, 2012
I just gave birth at the Farm a few months ago, so watching the trailer brought back lots of fresh happy memories! Of course I cried!! So stoked to see this documentary! SO STOKED!!!
