What's The Book About?
LUCIOUS BLAKE AND THE IVORY CITY is the story of a disillusioned teen angel who begins to transform into a man after he travels to a forbidden city to find answers to his mysterious past. The story is told through the lives of a teen angel and a group of classmates and takes place in a hidden academy near the Himalayan’s and in a city where citizens believe there hasn't been a murder in 400 years.

Who created Lucious Blake?
Byron Germany created the story back in 2005 as a script called Shangri-La. and after many, many, many, many, many rewrites, Lucious was born. (Actually he was created, not born at the beginning of time, but you'll have to read the graphic novel to find out how he was reborn!)
What's The Money Going To Be Used For?
Our pledge goal of $30,000 will allow us to create, publish and promote 1,000 copies of Lucious Blake and The Ivory City.
What If You Exceed Your Goal?
If we exceed our goal, we plan to donate a portion to under served schools across the nation. Starting in the greater New York Area, we plan to visit schools without access to quality bookstores and distribute Lucious Blake and encourage students to read. Yeah, it's tons of pictures in the graphic novel, but they're a lot of words too!:)
What Sports Do Angels Play At The Academy?
HUARACHE!!!
Each season, Flight Deck Directors select 7 players to participate in the ariel sport Huarache played 300ft above the clouds. Similar to dodgeball, but played in the air. The only equipment used are three balls of different sizes. In order for the balls to become active, each player has to CHARGE using legal elements hidden inside of each cloud, making the ball a charged ORB.

There are 23 elements to choose from, 12 human, 13 angelic. 2 human elements and 1 angelic element will charge any ORB! But beware of using illegal elements!
