Ready to Rock
There's plenty of great news about the Amgen Tour of California after such an amazing day in Sonoma County. This place isn't for race updates, I'll tell you that right now.
I am having a hard time keeping my eyes open long enough to post this update. In fact I'd really like to be in bed right now. But I owe it to those of you who've already shown your support for this documentary to thank you for such enthusiasm. I want to express a heart-felt thank you, and let you know that regardless of what happens to Levi during the next several days, we are going to be there in person to capture it all.
It's a unique combination of players we've got working on this documentary between Citizen Pictures and Daydreamer Cinema. Not very long ago I met a very talented individual by the name of Jamie Tuell who founded Daydreamer. What was cool then was that he lived just down the street from my home in Santa Rosa. I didn't know it at the time, but since then I've seen him capture some truly amazing footage--the kind of stuff that when he shows it to you in the viewfinder the hair on the back of your arms stands up.
Rest assured, between Citizen and Daydreamer we're capturing some of the most mind-blowing stuff that many of you are likely to have seen, ever. I'm beyond psyched about the next week, no matter how tough it's going to be for Levi to make it through this race.
We are going to tell this story.

The 2011 Tour de France was a year to be remembered, notoriously. Within an edgy field of racers and the high tension that exists within it, crashes tore apart Team Radioshack. It was a very tough race. Somehow, Levi managed to finish even after a terrifying encounter with a guardrail himself. At this level you will be taking possession of a truly one-of-a-kind road bike that Levi raced in the 2008 Bejing Olympics and finished 12th.
