Bring your kids to The Big Hammock for some awesome story time, narrated by children’s book writer Antonia Better-Wirz. Times are August 22nd, 23rd, 25th, 27th, and 28th at 3:00PM. We’ve reached our kickstarter goal of $4500 with 61 backers in 21 days!!! We are so grateful to all of you for supporting this public arts project! The $4500 we’ve received will go towards material and fabrication expenses, but please continue to pledge and spread the word as the extra money we receive from kickstarter will go towards other expenses.

We have been busy at work. Today I signed the contract with The Greenway. The fabricator is busy drilling the holes for the loom. Tomorrow we meet with the structural engineer and textile collaborators to review the prototype. The project is moving along! The steel pipe has been delivered to the fabricator and the rolling begins today. The recycled rope for the hammock will be delivered tomorrow.
