HEY GUYS!! Thank you so much for the overwhelming generosity so far! We're extremely excited about how it's going and we put up a bit more footage we already shot. Have a look and keep sharing this site so we reach our goal in time, and maybe even get past it. The more money we can raise the more festivals we can submit to (it's an expensive process) and get ARDEN out there. YOU ROCK!!!

About the project:

'Arden' tells the story of a young man who reconnects with his late sister by going through a seizure of dramatic length, subconsciously drawing an image into the sand on a beach: his sister's favorite object, a magical tree.

Before he finds out what happened during his black out he goes through severe anxiety and dread, worried about his sanity and his family's future.

What we want to achieve:

We hope 'Arden' will be a moving and uplifting story that people can relate to. A story about love and friendship, about dreams and hope, and about how deeply layered and complex we are as human beings.

It is our goal to get 'Arden' into the Venice International Film Festival this year, and we firmly believe we can make it happen!

How we will go about it:

The first thing a movie needs is a script. After several rewrites and the generous feedback of talented writers in our circles we are ready to get into the casting and production phase. Once we are confident we have cast the right actors and found the right crew for our film, we will determine shooting dates and probably be on set for 4 - 7 days. 

This is how your money will be used:

Actors, cinematographer, sound engineer, camera operator, assistant director, production assistants, grip and electric, etc., we need to find locations that fit to tell our story. And then there is the equipment: cameras, lights, sound equipment, tools, vehicles to transport.

After that comes post production, editor, sound design, music. All of which cost time and money,...as you can see, the expenses add up pretty quickly.

After that we will use any remainder for entries into festivals. If entries average at $25 then you can see how that will add up very quickly as well

One of the sets is a beach in San Francisco, where Andres Amador drew our world tree. That trip alone brought with it considerable costs, now we have to complete the rest!!
