$2,500 is only the beginning!
It will take more than $2,500 to bring the Mini Maker Faire to Orange County, so why didn't we ask for more? We figure that some is better than none and this would be some nice seed money to cover initial costs. The cool thing about Kickstarter is that you don't have to stop there! If the idea of having a Mini Maker Faire right here in the OC makes you giddy with excitement but our campaign has been deemed successful please feel free to throw in a few more bucks, we'll still send you the incentives, we promise.
Ummm... what IS a Mini Maker Faire?
If you've never been to a Maker Faire then you're in for a wonderful treat! What happens is all kinds of creative, inventive, marvelously imaginative people bring their projects and not only do they show them off and share them with you, but they show you how you can make it yourself. You will go home amazed and inspired and ready to build your own Mobile Muffin or Kareoke in a Cart or neato Arduino gadget. If you haven't already watched the video above go ahead and give it a gander to get a better idea of what a Maker Faire is all about.
The Incentives
We've translated the Madly Making Orange logo into a cool black and white image that will be used on the stickers, buttons and T-shirts. The T-shirt will be hand printed by Bequi and will consist of the logo below squared and printed either front or back, your choice.
