Ishmaeal is a modern take on the 19th century great American novel, Moby Dick, which will debut at the Hollywood Fringe Festival.
Ishmaeal is an adaptation of Moby Dick to be performed in multiple venues during the Hollywood Fringe Festival this summer. Produced by Lumpy-Cramp(c) Productions, and Poor Mans Theatre Group, and directed by Benny Lumpkins Jr.
Ishmaeal will tell the story of Ishmaeal a Nantucket whaler who sets off with the uncanny Pequod captain, Capt. Ahab. On board the Pequod, the band of misfits that is the Pequod's crew is introduced, as they try to aid Capt. Ahab on his journey to kill the white whale that took off his leg. Ishmaeal will then take a journey 150 years or so into the future to explore the parallels between todays social-economical politics and Capt. Ahab's greed and hunger.
We need your help. The Hollywood Fringe Festival, while somewhat affordable, it still takes money to produce a play of this magnitude.
