A new series of art books by online comic artists Emmy Cicierega, Anthony Clark, Danielle Corsetto, and Aaron Diaz.
Benign Kingdom is a creator-owned publishing project designed to showcase the art of independent comic creators. It was founded by Evan Dahm (Rice Boy), Becky Dreistadt & Frank Gibson (Tiny Kitten Teeth), and KC Green (Gunshow), Yuko Ota & Ananth Panagariya (Johnny Wander), with assistance by George Rohac (GRohac). In the Spring of 2012 it released 4 high quality art books and a collected hardcover featuring Evan, Becky, KC, and Yuko’s work.
The books and collections were well received, and so we decided to bring you another set featuring a new selection of artists. We’d like your help to release -

40,000$ - We will produce a 16pg Sampler Art Book that will feature pieces from both Spring and Fall 2012 artists. This will be included in all tiers being shipped physical products! MET!
50,000$ - We will produce a softcover collection of the Fall 2012 Books! This will be sold for 60$ During the Kickstarter and we will add new tiers for it to make it available for purchasing. MET!
60,000$ - We upgrade ALL prints to a larger size and heavier stock. MET!
70,000$ - We will double the amount of prints sent out to any order including a physical shipment. - MET
80,000$ - A Benign Kingdom 2012 Embroidered Patch will be included with all orders receiving a physical shipment! - MET

Since we want to make sure the project gets funded for all the artists during the Kickstarter the only way to guarantee you get a particular book you want is to purchase all the books or a collection.
If we're successful individual volumes will be available for sale through each artist and us later on in the year.

Yes, due to shipping costs for some of the heavier items Canada is considered international.

Each individual art book is a 32 page saddle stitched book.
The softcover collection is a perfectbound book that collects the contents of all four individual art books.The hardcover collection is a hardcover with ribbon that collects the contents of all four individual art books.

Yes! Each creator earns the overwhelming majority of profits from each book of theirs we sell. They also collectively earn the greater majority from sale of any collections. We absolutely believe in creators getting paid for their work.
