Hello Fashion Lovers!
Bryce Black is a clothing label that focuses on design for everyday wear. It is my mission to create clothes that transcend the everyday. Being inspired by the Northwest, where we love comfortable cottons in various forms of denim and knits, I plan to work with theses fabrics to satisfy your comfort needs but I am going to up the volume in design. I want my customer to bravely express themselves and to never abide by fashion rules.
About the designer: Originally from Twin Falls, Idaho, Bryce Black began his passion for fashion as a child. He dressed his sister’s Barbie dolls using countless materials, from toilet paper to socks. Educated at The Art Institute of Portland, he received a degree in Apparel Design in 2011. During his senior year, Black was a finalist for The Humane Society's and The Art Institute's Cool vs. Cruel fashion design contest, his senior collection was featured in Portland Monthly Magazine and he was the recipient of the 24Notion Senior Finale Student Competition scholarship. He also won the Studio SKB Designer Launch, where he was able to design several collections as head designer of this local label.
A month after graduation, Black found himself auditioning for Project Runway and he became one of twenty contestants on season nine! On Project Runway, Black was able to design a collection for New York Fashion Week, which received national acclaim.
Now I am working on my Spring 2013 collection! With the Kickstarter funds this collection will go from paper to production! Bryce Black is in much need of:
- Tools, fabric and notions
- Cutting table
- A larger studio (this will give me a professional setting and room for cutting/sewing samples)
- Clothing production
- A web Designer
- Rent venues to showcase my work
- Marketing and branding media (look book, flyers, ads space, etc.)
- A team of professionals, (photographers, stylist, consultants and models)
What's the plan?: I will produce an awesome 10-15 piece collection for Spring 2013. This collection, with the help an all-star team, will be marketed to it's full capacity. Retail and wholesale orders will be made through bryceblack.net. Bryce Black will also obtain a sales representative to show Spring 2013 collection in showrooms around the US.
This collection will be a dream come true and I look forward to sharing it with all of you! A special thank you to all my fans and supporters! You've inspired me to do this collection! Thank you so much for believing in Bryce Black!

Believe T-shirt!
Look for the Believe T-shirt in a number of my rewards and in several variations! The Believe T-shirt was inspired by, The Last Unicorn. The Last Unicorn did not believe she was the last of the unicorns so she set out on this journey to prove just that. She finds the other unicorns are being held captive by their fear of the Red Bull. She has to overcome her fear of the Red Bull to release all the other unicorns. The moral of the story is to defeat your fear, believe in yourself, and inspire other to do the same...
