I've been an avid longboarder for a few years now and I longboard everyday. I started my Longboard project making a gift for someone & the result turned out surprisingly well. I'm a photographer so I use my photographs to create stencils for the bottom of the longboard. I want to create a business that allows my customers to choose a style of imagery, color scheme, and shape of the board. There are over forty different colors and seven different board shapes to choose from. I buy the wood & parts, sand the shape, then paint it with my own style, and assemble the longboard. I'm also able to redesign and customize previously purchased longboards. I would love to customize and donate some of the boards to local community outreach programs or non-profit organizations. Donations would be used to create a longboard portfolio and website. I want to start a wesite to sell the custom longboards, as well as have an interactive map of areas in southern Arizona to ride. This will include skill level, paths, images of locations, and precautions to the areas. Users will be able to submit experiences and new areas to ride. The website will also show current designs in progress.
