Barkwheats is growing & we need your help to upgrade our dough moulder. Faster production means reaching more dogs & supporting more organic farmers!
We're Barkwheats and we make healthy, grain-free dog biscuits. Barkwheats is unique in the pet industry in our dedication to both healthy dogs and small scale, organic farmers. Our nutritious biscuits are made of beneficial ingredients and we partner with family farms to source those quality ingredients at fair wage prices. We started our company just over two years ago and now, we've outgrown our home-based bakery and just moved in to a new place! With the enthusiastic support of many dedicated customers, Barkwheats are now available in over 300 stores around the country.
Unfortunately our current bakery equipment is just too small to meet the growing demand. Our small biscuit moulder is working on overdrive, and we need to upgrade. With this upgrade, we'll be able to support more farmers and get more of our gluten-free treats to more dogs! What currently takes a full hour to produce will take the new moulder only 90 seconds to do! This increased efficiency will bring us to a whole new operating level, where we can begin to employ local staff, increase the number of stores that carry Barkwheats and ultimately even lower our prices! So we're turning to Kickstarter and you to help make those dog dreams a reality!
We need a total of $50,000 to upgrade our dough moulder and we're trying to raise at least $25,000 Kickstarter. Our farmers work hard to bring us great ingredients, and we work hard bringing your dogs a snack they love. At Barkwheats, we believe everyone has a responsibility to be a good steward of this Earth, and as a business we have an even greater capacity to make a difference. We seek to have a lasting impact on our community and in the pet industry, but we need your help. Please contribute to our campaign knowing that you are a vital part of helping Barkwheats grow!
Thank you,
Chris Roberts & Renée Johnson, Co-Founders, Barkwheats Dog Biscuits
