BACKGROUND
The Baltimore Love Project is
a city-wide street art project that expresses love by connecting people
and communities across Baltimore City through love themed murals. We
hope a man is moved to pick up flowers for his girlfriend. Or someone
thinks to hold the door open for the person behind them. Maybe someone
is inspired to to forgive a friend in a recent argument.This
project is not here to change the world, just to bring a little love to
our city. These murals have already inspired change, if just through
small, tangible acts of love from one to another.
The Baltimore Love Project currently has six of the proposed twenty love murals in place. Your generous contributions will go to funding our next, and largest mural, along North Avenue.
To additionally help fund the North Avenue mural, we are planning a "Day of Love" for Baltimore on June 5th. That day, we plan to bring together all of Baltimore in a single Day of Love with activities going on throughout the entire day. While some of these acts include handing out flowers around the Inner Harbor, holding a social network challenge and hosting a happy hour, the focal point of the day, though, will be completing one of our murals.
