Hello world!
I'm Georgiana Starlington from Balthrop, Alabama and I need your help. We're trying to go on tour this March to be in Austin during SXSW. We'll also be making several stops on the way to and from the festival so hopefully we'll make a stop near you.
Here are our tour dates so far (more to be added):
March 13th - Knoxville, TN
March 14th - Huntsville, AL
March 16th - Austin, TX
March 17th-20th - SXSW
March 21st - Dallas, TX
March 25th - Louisville, KY
March 26th - Athens, OH
March 27th - Pittsburgh, PA
We're a big band and it takes a lot to go on tour. That's why we need your help! We have been on 3 American tours and have gained a lot of fans along the way. People seem to respond to our town; we hope that you do too and will help us by donating whatever you can to make it possible for us to go on the road again. Just a few dollars will help us buy a tank of gas or help pay for lodging so please give what you can!
I'll be seeing you!
♥ Georgiana Starlington

New York, NY
In 2006, Alabama-born songwriter-siblings Pascal and Lauren Balthrop moved to New York City to start a band and ended up founding a town. Balthrop, Alabama, population 11 or so, is their bustling folk rock township.
Musically, the band straddles the fine line between antebellum and antifolk, reconstructing indie pop with songs of love, dead people, and dead people in love. One fan described the town’s genre as “barnyard epic indie rock.” In 2007, they released their double-album debut, Your Big Plans and Our Little Town, on the nascent End Up label, followed by a series of EPs: the rebellious God Loves My Country and the companion records Subway Songs and Cowboy Songs.
