What is Baldy Beard Brewing Company?
Baldy Beard Brewing Company is a nanobrewery in the process of opening in York, Pennsylvania. The plan is to open our doors summer 2013. We intend to be an active member of the surrounding community and provide a friendly, welcoming place for friends and family to enjoy hand-crafted beer that is both unconventionally brewed and unconditionally loved.
We have our location lined up and our brew system is currently being manufactured. Now it’s time to remodel our space. Turns out, building a brewery and tasting room isn’t free. Who knew? This is where we will graciously bow down to you and your support: Please donate to our Kickstarter. You get cool stuff. We get to brew beer. And in the natural order of things, people get to drink that beer.
Who are you guys?
The Baldy Beard crew is a group of friends that share a love of great beer and have been brewing together for years. If you haven’t already done so, check out our video above for the 2-minute history. It’s like Discovery Channel, but sorry, no sharks (we’re still working on the logistics and legalities of having sharks at a brewery, but don’t get your hopes up…things are looking grim).
Who is that dashing Baldy Beard fellow?
Ah yes. This question comes up often; however, there never quite seems to be a finite answer on who Baldy Beard is. The oft-muttered statement that any avid Baldy Beard seeker repeatedly hears is, “You just missed him.” Part world traveler. Part adventurer. All brewer. Baldy Beard’s past (and present for that matter) is shrouded by mystery, but we can tell you one thing: He vows to continually #DrinkWithFriends.

The opening of the brewery will be based on our permission and licensing from the federal and state governments. We have already applied for the license, but if it does not come in time for our planned opening in July, we will still fulfill all rewards.
