Who needs a label when you've got fans, right? By harnessing the power of the internet, we'd like to ask you guys to help make our next CD. Let's be honest: We've got mortgages, full-time jobs, kids (at least 3 of us do) - so if we want to get our new songs committed to tape (well, hard disk actually) anytime this century, we need some help coming up with the dough. And that's where you - the fans - come in. You can think of this as an experiment in a crowd-sourced record label or as just a way to pre-order the CD by enabling it to be produced in the first place. Kinda cool when you think about it that way, huh?
Here's what we need the money for: First and foremost, to pay for the recording equipment. Secondly, we will pay for the initial run of CDs to be manufactured and any T-shirts that we need to make for pledge rewards. Mixing and mastering, we can handle ourselves. That's pretty much it.
How this Kickstarter thing works: You pledge whatever dollar amount you'd like, and in return you get one of the very nifty rewards you see to the right. *You won't be charged up front for your pledge* If we reach our monetary goal by the time the deadline runs out, we receive the money and get to work, and then you get your rewards. If we don't reach our goal, you don't get charged and we don't receive anything (then we cry).
Here's our promise to you: If this project is funded, we will get started making the best CD we can possibly make - hopefully worthy of your ears - and get it to you as soon as humanly possible.
