Hello supporters and friends,

with 55 hours to go, we are at almost $17.700 which is incredible.

Yay!

The best thing about Kickstarter has been the amount of feedback and all the new people I connected with.
I even found a new supplier for all the electroacoustic components. Instead of different suppliers for each component this is an opportunity to get everything from one source, and most important: better sound quality.

Oh no…

… due to the change of supplier I will have to wait a couple of weeks for the new samples to arrive from China (the speakers are being custom built), only then I can order production.I am sorry, but there will be a delay. I won't be able to deliver the Boomboxes in june as I had planned.
Another thing adding to the delay is that it is not an option to ship the production run of components from China via airmail. This is due to the many magnets in the speaker shipment. Unfortunately I only got this information now. Obviously it takes much longer with the ship than via airmail.

So:

To cut a long story short: The new estimated delivery date is August 20st.
I know this is unpleasant, but I hope you appreciate that I am telling you this right away. This way you can cancel your pledge to the project now if you are not willing to wait until then.

I thank you for your support and I am excited about this chance to further improve the quality of the Berlin Boombox
