About this project
AUX, an artist-run publishing and festival project, has invited the legendary German experimental music group FAUST to perform and present a workshop in Athens, Georgia during October 10-11, 2009. Please help us make it happen!
The events will be co-sponsored by Orange Twin, a local record label that supports land preservation and sustainable development, and Ideas for Creative Exploration (ICE), an interdisciplinary initiative for advanced research in the arts at the University of Georgia. Ticket costs are being kept to an affordable rate of $10 in order to make the performance available to as many people as possible. Your contributions will help us fulfill payment of the additional fees and costs associated with the event and the production of an audio document of the performance and workshop.
If we exceed our Kickstarter goal of $2,000, we will help fund the recording of FAUST's twelve city North American tour.
FAUST is scheduled to perform on the evening of October 10th at the 40 Watt Club with Circulatory System. The workshop will take place the following day at 2 PM in the Cine Lab in downtown Athens. For more information about attending these events please visit http://auxfestival.com

I am a composer, bassist, and cellist living in Athens, Ga. I have most recently played music with Circulatory System, The Instruments, Gnarls Barkley, and Lil Wayne. I contributed original music for the documentary Examined Life, by Astra Taylor. I have been working with AUX for the past four years to bring strange and wonderful art to the people!
