Hi, my name is Austin Tinius, co-creator of the comic series Holli Hoxxx. We've published the first book of Holli Hoxx and had a great response so far. However, comic distributors demand that we release the books as 96 page graphic novels as opposed to single issues. Since we have already sunk money into the first issue without being able to get distribution we find ourselves stuck. We need to complete the next issue and then print as 96 page books so we can finally get Holli Hoxxx off the ground.
The story of Holli Hoxxx is set to be divided amongst 3 volumes, 96 pages each. So the entire story will be 288 pages when all is said and done.
STORY
The year is 2051 in New York City and gravity is a thing of the past. For the last thirty years, Tycho Industries has remained the only manufacturer and seller of gravity boots. However, a new company, called Newton, has now entered the ring with a plan to finally restore gravity back to the city once and for all (putting an end to the need for gravity boots). Meanwhile, a destructive gang known as the Lunaticks, who reside in the now abandoned Manhattan Island, terrorize the city and all those who dwell within. Caught up in the middle is Holli Hox. Once the face of Tycho Industries, Holli now finds herself thirty years in the future braving an unfamiliar world. With the Newton company's ceremony to restore gravity back to New York in less than 24 hours, and a paralyzing illness weighing her down, Holli must find her father and discover her destiny before time is up.
ARTWORK
The artwork of Holli Hoxxx is done by friend and comic veteran, Stefano (Stef-ah-no) Cardoselli (Car-dough-sell-ee). The entire book is done with a traditional approach- pen on paper, and watercolors. No digital effects here.
BUDGET
If you choose to pledge to this project, the money you send will be used for printing, shipping and art supplies. We already have a printing company selected, which will run our job on a sheetfed press, which produces higher quality printing than a web press.
