We have reached our initial goal of $10,000! The cast and crew of "Austin High" thank you dearly for your contributions. But please don't stop donating, and please continue to pass on link our to friends, family, and beautiful strangers. The more we can raise before our deadline, the better the movie will be. Any help you can give us will go a long way!
Now that principal photography has ended, we turn our attention to the very important post-production phase. This phase is generally more lengthy and costly than the actual shoot. It requires a small army of talented individual responsible for editing, design, mixing, effects, and clearances. And we have one hell of an army.
In addition to post processes, the soundtrack will benefit greatly from an added chunk of change. Which is of great importance to a movie like this...a movie about the soul of a city, revered around the world for its great music.
Our project will be active on the Kickstarter site for almost a month, and we are asking for your continued support. If you haven’t yet donated, please do – Amazon will not charge your card until our deadline, August 8.

AUSTIN HIGH is an irreverent comedy set in the wonderfully weird city of Austin, TX. A very unique oasis nestled deep in the heart of Texas; Artists, freaks, oddballs, and outcasts from all parts have not only been welcome, but celebrated here for as long as anyone can remember. Heck, the city's unofficial motto is actually "Keep Austin Weird."
Initially shaken by the threat of a citywide crackdown on marijuana, and a subsequent, outright "War on Weird", Principal Samuel Wilson and the rest of the blazed faculty, students, and staff of Lady Bird High School must all shake off their slacker demons and find the courage to stand up and fight before the city they love is stripped of it's essence and turned into the next great American strip mall of beige consumerist comfort.

Welcome to Ladybird High, nestled comfortably amongst the soul-searchers, aging hippies, and nouveau weirdos of famously freewheeling Austin, Texas. At Ladybird, it's always 4:20, even for Principal Samuel Wilson. But when the community is rocked by a citywide crackdown on marijuana use, local leaders are determined to make an example of Samuel, his staff and students. When asked to support their iron-fisted efforts, Samuel is beset with the task of cleaning up his beloved school without compromising his life philosophy.
Austin High is a coming of age comedy for the young at heart, featuring an ensemble cast right from the source. Knowing there's more than just fun at stake, Samuel's daughter and crew of oddball friends try to keep him honest along the way. In the city officials' "war on weird," Samuel and the rest of the blazed faculty, students and staff of Ladybird High School will have to conform or pay the price. The fight is under way, and everyone must find the courage to stand up and defend the city they love, before it's stripped of its unique essence and mutated into the latest American strip mall: a drab monument to consumerism.
