Inspired by Good Coffee I love good (fresh, strong) coffee, and wanted to create a line of premium, well-crafted beautifully packaged gourmet coffees.

Coffee Sourcing and Roasting I am working with a great microroaster, who sources some of the finest beans in the world (including certified Fair Trade and organic). Ashmore Coffee beans will be roasted in small batches, packaged immediately in stay-fresh bags, and shipped the same day. 

The First Batch: Dark Roasts Our first line of coffees will consist of classic, popular dark roast blends.

The Second Batch: Fair Trade & Organic Beans We are big believers in single-origin, Fair Trade, Shade Grown, and organic coffee beans. The second line (planned for September) will include a selection of these pricier coffees.

Retail Distribution To build sales volume and name recognition, we have set up an Amazon merchant account. To ensure freshness, we are shipping only a few cases at a time; will be tracking roasting dates for each unit; and plan to restock about once a week in small quantities as needed.

The $750 we are requesting would cover the cost of producing our first line of coffees for distribution: wholesale beans, package production, shipping, and fees.

Customized Rewards All of our thank you rewards come from the first batch of coffee blends. If you'd like to wait for the next line of coffees (Fair Trade, organic, single-origin), we are happy to accommodate! Just send us a message and we'll hold your reward.

We'd much prefer to send you bags of whole beans rather than ground, because whole beans stay fresh longer (especially when it comes to our $50 reward, six bags of coffee!). But, if you don't want to deal with grinding your own beans, we will send you ground coffee (for drip or espresso). Just let us know when you sign up for your reward or send a message anytime.

Coffee Descriptions

For those interested in cupping properties, here is some more detail on the first batch blends:

Metropolitan is our house blend. It is a lively, flavorful blend of Central and South American coffee beans, medium-dark roasted with a smooth, balanced finish.

Dark Tempest is a classic French Roast (very dark) blend of Costa Rican Tarrazú beans. The coffee has medium-to-full body and a bold, smoky finish.

Bleeker Street is our Espresso Blend. It is velvety with good body, fruity sweetness, chocolate-like undertones and a smooth, sweet finish. This blend works well as a drip coffee, too.
