Ashley Maria is a new graduate of the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts Master's Film program. She has an undergraduate degree in Communications and Advertising from UNC-Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Ashley Maria has 7+ years experience in film and television production; ranging from television commercials to multi-platform development (film, Internet, smartphone, etc.) to full feature films.
Early on (while in high school), Ashley Maria realized she had a love for comedies and horror/thrillers. Blending the horror/comedy genres in her film "Friday Night Fright" in 2010, Ashley Maria received the prestigious Student Directing award from the Director's Guild of America.
Her latest venture, "Volcano Girl," mixes action and comedy to build a VFX intensive super hero world within real world values. It's a movie about sisters...and then there's fire!
