Ashley Beckford is creating her first ever solo worship album. It is set to release in September, just in time for her trip to Africa!
Hi, my name is Ashley and I am making my first solo worship album! Thank you for visiting this page and potentially supporting this project. It means the world to me.
This album has three main goals:
1. TO PUT SCRIPTURE INTO SONG. The medium of song is so powerful and has the potential to sink into hearts for a very long time. Each song on this album is specifically inspired by a passage in the Bible. My goal was to take a passage that spoke to me and translate it into a song, so that people could take in and learn scripture in a new and fresh way.
2. TO BLESS THE WOMEN OF AFRICA. I am going on a missions trip in October to lead worship at 3 women's conferences in Zimbabwe and South Africa. We are focusing on the subject of brokenness. One of the songs on the album is specifically written for these women and their brokenness. By recording the album, I am able to leave a tangible item that will hopefully speak to them beyond my stay in the country.
3. TO EMPOWER WOMEN WORSHIP LEADERS. I am very passionate about women in worship. Being one myself, I have learned to deal with the joys and struggles that it brings. I hope and pray this album will inspire women who aspire to be songwriters and/or worship leaders. I want these ladies to know that God can use them in a great and powerful way through their own unique gifting.
I am excited to take this next step of faith in my journey. I have the songs, I have the talented people around me… Now all I need is your support. I have already been able to save $4000 on my own, but need $7000 more in order to complete the project. If you are new to kick-starter, every project must be fully funded before it’s time expires or no money changes hands. I am teaming up with kick-starter to meet this goal because I believe that it is a way for friends and strangers to join in creating something beautiful together. I would be honored and grateful to have you join me in taking this next step, and I pray that this project blesses you just as much as it blesses me.
