About this project
"Franny" is a dark comedy feature film now in post production. The film stars Frances Fisher (Titanic, The Lincoln Lawyer), Steve Howey (Shameless, Reba), newcomer Jen Ponton (as Franny), Annaleigh Ashford (Wicked, Legally Blonde, Rent) and Broadway veterans Mary Testa, Ruth Gotschall, Eddie Korbich, directed by Ash Christian, and produced by Jordan Yale Levine, Ash Christian, and Amy Salko Robertson.
Synopsis: Despite the odds FRANNY PETERSON always knew she’d make it BIG! With a heart of gold and a loving and kind personality, all 250lbs of her knew that one day she’d make it out of her small town. Who knew that today would be that day...while waiting in line at the bank listening to music on her ipod, in walks, from cowboy boots to cowboy hat, the most gorgeous guy she’s ever seen!! When their eyes meet she’s sure this is the one...The fact that RICK is now holding up the bank and taking her hostage does not deter her from her mission. This wasn’t exactly the way she dreamed it would all go down, but she’s eager to get out of her small town and is up for the adventure. Unfortunately for FRANNY, RICK has other plans.
We are currently searching for finishing funds for the film (which will include editing, music licensing, color correction, sound mixing, titles, etc...). We wrapped the film Dec 1st and are currently entering post production.

Ash Christian wrote, directed and starred in his first feature film FAT GIRLS alongside Jonathan Caouette (TARNATION) and Robin DeJesus (CAMP). FAT GIRLS had its world premiere at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival to critical acclaim. FAT GIRLS sold and hit theaters nationwide fall of 2007 and was optioned by MTV Networks and turned into a pilot. Ash's second feature- the dark comedy "Mangus!" stars Jennifer Coolidge, Heather Matarazzo, Leslie Jordan and John Waters. The film sold to Wolfe Releasing and Logo Networks (Viacom). Ash returned to his theater roots raising financing for the 3 time Tony Award ® winning “Next to Normal” which is currently on an international tour and has been financial and critical success... the show won the 2010 Pulitzer Prize. Ash is in post production on PETUNIA which stars Thora Birch, Brittany Snow, Christine Lahti, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Michael Urie and David Rasche, which he wrote, produced and directed and is in development on several more films to shoot in '11. This summer, Ash was cast in "The Summer of Monte Wildhorn" directed by Rob Reiner and starring opposite Morgan Freeman and Virginia Madsen.
As one of the youngest independent film producers and the president of Yale Productions, Jordan Yale Levine has made a strong name for himself in the entertainment industry. At the age of 26, Jordan now has a substantial list of film credits as well as several projects in development. Jordan is responsible for the producing, financing and/or distribution of over a dozen feature films, including The Land of the Astronauts, starring David Arquette, Bijou Phillips and Vivica A. Fox; Wreckage, starring Aaron Paul, Scoot McNairy and Cameron Richardson; Tooth & Nail, starring Michael Madsen and Vinnie Jones; Additionally, Jordan's Producing credits include; Mangus!, starring John Waters and Jennifer Coolidge; The Penitent Man, starring Lance Henriksen and Andrew Keegan; Paid, starring Corbin Bernsen and Tom Conti; Cut/Print, Life Goes On, The Final Curtain (aka "Acts of Death"), Blood Ties, Bashert and Death's Door. In 2010, Jordan met acclaimed director Ash Christian and the two have since collaborated on Petunia; a comedy that centers on a dysfunctional family in Manhattan which starred Thora Birch, Christine Lahti, Brittany Snow and Eddie Kaye Thomas. After having such a positive experience on Petunia, the two have decided to launch their own company; Ironclad Pictures, INC.
