If God Bless Satan makes it I think it needs to be on red with a black swirl.
Just throwin that out there.
Here's another vote for repressing Mephiskapheles - "God Bless Satan"
Also, The Scofflaws Self-titled or "Ska in HiFi"
Cheers to the person who suggested Allstonions, that is a good one. Also, one of The Agents records would be rad, and Gangster Fun. So many records so little time.
Liberator - this is liberator
Slackers - wasted days
The pharmaceutical bandits - those damn bandits
The hippos - forget the world
anything by slow gherkin
I'd love to see more of these...my wish list for vinyl ska reissues:
Allstonians - Go You! (super under-rated album in my opinion...)
Hepcat - anything would be great...but Right On Time is my favorite!
Mephiskapheles - God Bless Satan
Skinnerbox - What you can do, What you can't
Less than Jake- Losing Streak
BUCK O NINE 28TH IS ON VINYL
Suggestions for next project:
Slackers - Wasted Days
Hepcat - Right on Time
Less Than Jake - Losing Streak or Hello Rockview
Fishbone - Chim Chim's
Buck-O-Nine - Twenty Eight Teeth
How do I add another record to my order?
hey everyone. my label backed the edna's goldfish record! we have our own kickstarters running to release two of our own recently released but back-catalog records on vinyl (we have never done vinyl before, but will now be doing for future releases!). You can hear/see me talk about the label in the video for the first one below.

next project suggestion:
Suicide Machines-Destruction By Definition
PILFERS PILFERS PILFERS!
Also, Hepcat's 1st album must be pressed. MUST BE PRESSED!
Oh and Easy Big Fella!
This is a great idea!
A couple of suggestions:
1) Mephiskapheles ~ God Bless Satan
2) Skoidats ~ The Times
3) The Investigators ~ Steal the Show (small band from the Tacoma area, they had 2 songs on Land of the Bigfoot Ska comp) I'd even be willing to drop a good amount of cash just to see this promoted and put out on vinyl.
Don't worry! we're already hard at work for round II, as well as the second series of our Ska is Dead 7" club... we still have a couple sets left of the first series and a bunch of other reissues we did here --> www.asbestosrecords.bigcartel.com
So excited about this...I've been posting/promoting the link everywhere. Love the concept and especially the funding model. Can't wait to see more of these happening. "Old ska bands never die!"
This is the first project I'm backing and I'm so excited to be doing so! :-) Tim Maurer....I love what you wrote! I didn't know of Suburban Legend's existence until about a year ago and I'm sad I never got to see you perform with them. Some of my favorite songs are from Rump Shaker. :-)
You know what's funny... I spent the beginning of my young adult life dedicated to the passion of 3rd wave ska. I wear it with pride today. When I sang in Suburban Legends, it was the greatest moment of my existence. The songs we wrote were potent, alive, and included every rude boy and girl. I can honestly say that 3rd Wave saved my life. I am eternally indebted to every single fan that has been part of this phenomenon. Being in a van with Aaron, Klemm, Vince, Derek, my little brother Chris, Papa Brian, and Dallas, touring the country was the peak of my existence. I'm contributing to this project because WE remember what it was like. WE shared those moments. WE remember. Although I've left the band in 2005, I look back at this album with fondness and nostalgia. Bright Spring Morning will forever transport me in the driver's seat of our smelly van, blazing across the country late at night, with Dallas sleeping next to me in the passenger's side. I miss those days as much as I miss him. Thank you.
Love And Respect
-TIMOTHY MAURER
i saw the pilfers every time they came through ohio for a good couple of years after seeing them open up for goldfinger. i lost my original cd of this album and am so glad it's seeing another day.
Blame Aaron of RBI for my first backing. Love the pilfers album, was a li ska fan for the late 90s early 2000s. Still have my Edna's cd. Would love to see more old school re-issues
dub 56 just came out on chuck wren's label, would love to do skamageddon.. but id imagine it would be a horrible bitch tracking down every band on it to get permission.. not to mention it would probably be a 5LP set.... which jiker ep? eh for an eh? i love the hell out of that album... but i dont know how much interest there'd be... and we've talked about some of the others ;) we have 3 solid records lined up for the next batch... and we're in talks with a handful of bands on for who will be the 4th
Super excited lads. Oolooloo is an album I have on fourth generation cassette dub, on terrible 112kbit eMusic mp3s from 2001 and on a scratched to hell CD purchased at Rhino records (New Paltz, NY).
Given the modest success of the thing, I've a few wild ass suggestions for the next wave of 3rd wave: Suburban Rhythm s/t, the comp Skarmageddon, the first Mephiskapheles record, Skinnerbox' Demonstration, the Adjusters Politcs of Style, The Toasters' Dub 56, the Jiker EP (I would kill a man for this) and the 4 Track Adventures of Venice Shoreline Chris.
Dads.
IM IN FOR ALL 4, ITS ON!
don't forget to 'like' Asbestos Records and Underground Communiqué Records on their Facebook pages to keep up to date on any other releases!
That self-released Pilfers album was a true classic. I'm shocked it's not available anywhere digitally. Also--right as they broke up they recorded a night or two at CBGBs for a planned life album--maybe this would be a good project for a MP3 only release/bonus tracks?
excited for the pietasters!!!
Edna! Edna! Edna! USA! USA! USA!
There is still time on this to donate and get another great ska record!
