The American Rep Theater of WNY seeks your generous support in continuing top-notch theatrical productions and community events.
Kickstart the ART in YOU
The American Repertory Theater of WNY (ART of WNY) is a non-for-profit 21st century theater that prides itself on operating in a responsible manner and with accountability to meet the changing contemporary business & political environment.
With over 90% of the budget built on ticket sales and donations, ART of WNY relies upon the generosity of patrons who attend productions and individually donate their hard-earned money. This effort makes ART a theater for the patrons they can truly call their own.
ART of WNY does not receive Erie County public money to fund productions. Instead, ART understands that government funding is inconsistent and maintains a safe distance from relying on this capital to meet budget demands. A belief and acknowledgement that creates ART's commitment to build upon relationships between patrons and the theater, the theater and the WNY community.
ART of WNY also believes theater companies should be there to serve the community and not the other way around. In keeping with the mission statement, ART sponsors an Internet Broadcast entitled The Voices of WNY Artists and hosts a blog called Director's Notes. Both of these outlets address the issues surrounding the Western New York (and beyond) cultural groups and the community.
So when you, an ART patron, purchases a ticket or donates a dollar, your money directly goes 100% to building a theater company that believes in presenting top-notch theatrical productions, creating compelling outlets for community dialog and, most importantly, allowing local actors, designers and directors an opportunity to present their craft in a positive, encouraging environment.
American Repertory Theater of WNY is your theater company, built by your generosity and commitment. This is why the motto "Love the ART in YOU" has a deeper meaning.
Thank you for your support and let's kickstart the ART in YOU!
