Hello friends!

The Artist's Laboratory Theatre produced our first show, a workshop production of "Bombs, Babes and Bingo," a new play by Merri Biechler. We are so proud of our work and so grateful for your support. Without your help, we couldn't have done so well.

In the next couple of weeks, we will be sending out the rewards. For those of you that opted for a gift, please make sure we have your updated address! Those rewards vary from programs and posters to an original video. For those of you who opted OUT, we know who you are and we thank you. Thank you thank you thank you thank you.

Update #5: Bombs, Babes and Bingo!!!!

Posted on July 28, 2010

The lab is over, and we are well into rehearsals for Bombs! After labbing for a month and a half, rehearsing the play for two weeks, we will open the show August 5th and run thru the 8th. Some of you have opted out of your tickets as a reward for contribution, but for those of you that are coming to see the show, I recommend you make that reservation in advance. We are general seating, but we want to make sure you get the best seats! Please email me at erika@artlabtheatre.com for reservations.

Also please check out our website. Pretty soon a ticketing system will be set up on the site (for those of your purchasing tickets.)

Also, if you'd like to check out the lab process, we have a blog at http://theartistslaboratorytheatre.blogspot.com/

And find us on Facebook for more updates!

The lab is an important component of The Artist's Laboratory Theatre, and we feel the very first lab was a great success! Please peruse our blog entries from the me, the designers and lab artists.

Much love,

Update #4: Our Process, Our Progress

Posted on July 6, 2010

Hello friends!

We wanted you to know that we are making great strides in the lab. Our next artist, co-founder and scenic designer, Alan Schwanke arrives next Monday and we are so excited to have him!

We want to share our process with you, so we are keeping a blog. Please follow us at http://theartistslaboratorytheatre.blogspot.com/ We update regularly. And feel free to comment and question. We WANT to have a dialogue with you.

Ordered the Postcards today for Bombs! Our good friend, Claudia Noble, designed it and we are so pleased! Another good friend, Richard Kingston, is designing our website. Check us out at www.artlabtheatre.com. It is under construction, but he is building quite the beauty of a site! Both friends donated their time and talent for the projects. We are so grateful. We couldn't do it without the love and support!

I mentioned in my last update, rewards will go out according to the stages of the show. If you are receiving tickets for Bombs, I will contact you directly to set up a reservation.

Please keep in touch.

In love and art,

Erika
The Artist's Laboratory Theatre

Update #3: Thank you for your Pledges!

Posted on June 21, 2010

Hello friends!

We have successfully been funded! Thanks to your pledges, we are moving forward with The Lab. Our first artist arrives tonight, we move into a space this week, and then it is "Game On!" Joseph Fletcher is flying in from New York and acting as Lead Lab Facilitator. He is the director of the weekly experimental lab work. Shortly after that, co-founder and associate artist, Alan Edward Schwanke, arrives. Aradhana Tiwari, director of "Bombs, Babes and Bingo" follows him. Playwright Merri Biechler will be the last arrive for the last week of rehearsal and then we open "BBB" August 5th!

We will continue to update you on our progress! Our website is almost ready and we plan on posting our creative updates there. Depending on the type of reward you are due, you may receive it during or after the show development. If you are due tickets for a performance of BBB, we will contact you directly to set up a reservation.

Thanks so much for believing in us. Thank you for helping us chase this dream.

love,
The Artist's Laboratory Theatre
