Movie was great and inspirational!!! It was everything expected and more. Glad that the story and contribution of African American tattoo artists was brought to light.

Artemus, just got the DVD in the mail yesterday and watched the entire film. OUTSTANDING!!! I'm going to watch it again tonight after work. As an artist myself I see this as an opportunity to learn from some great masters of the art form. I have a Kickstarter project coming in the future involving a whole lot of oil paintings and I can tell you now, one of my paintings is inspired by your film! I have two things: 1. What camera and audio setup did you use to record your work? And 2. I found a company that you may be interested in for your future movie poster work, they do both 27 X 39 and old school 27 X 41 at affordable prices. As a graphic designer I can also save you some time on your font, you're going to want to google the "steel tong" font. It's out there for free. I used it myself on my own movie poster. You can see an online preview of that here: http://www.kendwebber.com/images/offBIGmovieposter2.jpg
The movie poster company's URL is: http://www.printeffectively.com/movie-poster-printing.htm
Looking forward to your next project! Ken

I support because Miya showed me the difference between an artist that does tattoo's and a tattooer that just traces somebody else's art...Miya is an ARTIST!
Thank you for showing me the difference..... :)

" the public needs to be able to understand the many sides of it" AMEN... It's more than just pickin a piece of flash off the wall, its on you for life! As an African American tattooer I'd feel ashamed not to back this, looking forward to seeing the final cut!
Creator Artemus Jenkins on March 30, 2011
Thanks for the support everyone, we're gonna make you all proud. African American culture is so deep and diverse and it constantly evolves, the public needs to be able to understand the many sides of it

I am so in love with this project. I can barely describe how beautiful this will turn out. This is what our communities and families need, education about all aspects of our lives so we can have a true sense of pride in everything we do. Its not just tattooing its art, its a culture, it has a history and a future. The fact that you all are taking the time and energy to produce a film should make everyone well aware that this is more than meets the eye. just dope yall!
Creator Corey "Qevlar" Daniels on March 28, 2011
Yo, I REALLY wanna see this WHOLE thing! Like FOR REAL. lol. This is gonna be pretty dope...
Creator Drinks Up Mobile Bartender Services on March 27, 2011
Really Really great project to back, I am very proud of my brother Miya Bailey whom I've watched develop over the years into the foremost world reknowned tattoo artist/fine artist. A big big shout out to all of the other dope people of color whom participate in this ever reaching and expressive artform of tattooing spanning the globe and may they finally get the much deserved recognition due.
Great Job Miya and AJ!

Thank you to all who support City of Ink. In 2006, their call to be inspired by everything and to be a dripping star as we inspire our cities woke me from my zombie like sleep walk. My higherself could not ignore the controversial and powerful art work, bold colors on brown skin, music telling me it's ok to be weird old me. They are some of the first voices that helped me to begin to to break my 21st centry slave chains and see myself as the Goddess I am. I have been forever changed by these dripping stars. I pray City of Ink continues to attract the support needed as they arrive at inspiring not only their cities, but the entire world. They show us that life is unlimited for those choose to live outside the box and are not afriad to "Color Outside The Lines." Thank You City of Ink!

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing this film completed. Much respect to all of the artists who have participated in this project...those I've met, and others. :-)
